Winter Campsite

All tucked in for a long winters nap. Hopefully we will make some time to refinish the cabinet doors, build a new dinette table, and to get the icebox back together. Need to repair some storm windows and add some insulation to the house first though..

How does the pull out bed work? We are restoring a canned ham which has been modified somewhat so we are desperate for pull out bed reference!

The seat bottom mattress sits on a plywood panel that you can pull out to make the bed. The front edge of the plywood panel has a 1x3' outer edge that sits on small boxes built over the fender wells for support. The seat back cushion then fits in the gap between the rear wall and larger cushion. Originally our Shasta had a futon style cotton mattress but we converted to foam with the same overall look.
